Jean-Lou Chameau
Ph.D., D.Sc.h.c., NAE
Jean-Lou Chameau is a French-American independent consultant based in Atlanta and Paris, specializing in higher education, research and innovation. He served as President of the California Institute of Technology (2006–2013) and later as President of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (2013–2018). Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at the Georgia Institute of Technology, including Dean of Engineering and Provost. He also served as president of Golder Associates, an international geotechnical and environmental firm.
An internationally recognized leader in engineering and education, Chameau has been committed to fostering excellence in science and technology, as well as promoting a multidisciplinary approach to research and education (“The Leader with the Midas Touch”, Times Higher Education, 2017). He also promoted industry-university partnerships and the involvement of universities in economic development, including the creation of start-ups and new businesses.
Chameau earned engineering degrees in France and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Stanford University. His research initially focused on soil dynamics, seismic risk, and geotechnical reliability. Later on his work moved toward environmental geotechnology, and he led efforts to launch the Center for Sustainability at Georgia Tech, the first center of its kind in the US. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the French Académie des Technologies, and he was named Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur for his contributions to engineering and academic leadership. He has been active on numerous industry, university and public boards.

Antonio (Anthony) Marinucci

Antonio (Anthony) Marinucci is an American geotechnical engineer and infrastructure executive with expertise in foundations, geotechnical risk, and large-scale infrastructure systems. He obtained his PhD from UT-Austin, and has worked across academia, consulting, and industry, including geotechnical and sustainability roles at Google supporting hyperscale data center development. His work spans transportation infrastructure, underground construction, and digital infrastructure systems, with a focus on integrating geotechnical engineering into resilient, large-scale infrastructure design and delivery.

Seth Pearlman
P.E., BC.GE, NAC, NAE
Seth Pearlman is an American geotechnical engineer specializing in innovative and economical ground improvement solutions, environmental remediation, and ground characterization. He is currently Chairman of Menard USA. Pearlman earned his engineering degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and has been active in numerous professional organizations, including serving as President of the Deep Foundations Institute DFI. He is the recipient of the ASCE Geo-Institute Wallace Hayward Baker Award and the ASCE Henry Michel Award, and is an elected member of the National Academy of Construction and the U.S. National Academy of Engineering.

Kimberlie L. Staheli
Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE
Kimberlie L. Staheli is an American geotechnical and tunneling engineer specializing in trenchless technology, microtunneling, and underground infrastructure. She is the president at Staheli Trenchless Consultants and a Professional Engineer. She has more than three decades of experience in the planning, design, and construction of complex underground and utility infrastructure projects. Staheli earned her PhD in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech. Her expertise includes microtunneling, pipe jacking, trenchless construction methods, geotechnical design, and risk management for underground works. She is a Certified Design Build Professional and Past Chair of the North American Society for Trenchless Technology NASTT.

Matt Swinton
Matt Swinton is an American geotechnical and tunneling executive with extensive experience in underground construction and heavy civil infrastructure. He is Senior Vice President at Kiewit Corporation, where he serves as District Manager for the Underground District and oversees major tunneling and underground construction projects across North America. Swinton earned his degrees in Mining Engineering and Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. His expertise includes tunnel boring machine TBM systems, underground excavation, deep foundations, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and geotechnical risk management for large infrastructure programs.
